-Superb Blue Wrens or Fairywrens (Malurus cyaneaus) are small, insectivorous birds that are found throughout south eastern Australia. Breeding males have striking bright blue plumage while females and juvenile males are greyish-brown. Like the piwakawaka or New Zealand fantail, they are common and inquisitive birds, and can be spotted flitting through the trees in bushy urban areas.
Candlebarks (Eucalyptus rubida) are large trees that are common throughout the same area. They have beautiful creamy white trunks that can sometimes be patterned due to the flaking away of their bark.
The pink flowers belong to Hakea laurina or the pin-cushion hakea, which is native to south western Australia -
Printed in Nelson, New Zealand on 300gsm, 100% post consumer waste recycled stock. Please be aware that because the prints are made with recycled stock, very tiny flecks may be present on some of the paper. I enjoy the natural look this gives and feel it is much preferable to printing on paper made from old-growth forest pulp!
Each is individually signed and monogrammed and comes with a thick board backing, information blurb on rear and enclosed in a 'cellophane' bag for protection. Shipped flat in recycled cardboard packaging.
